I painted this for the Calgary Zoo which got flooded in 2014. It's a year late and was commissioned by Wily Forrest. A beautiful, white unicorn is racing to catch Noah's Ark before the flood, when the rained 40 days and 40 nights. The unicorn was frolicking in the pastures, playing with the phoenix and dragon. Because of his dalliances, he missed the Ark, which is why there are no unicorns that exist today. This was a private commission based on "The Unicorn", a song by Shel Silverstein that was made very popular by The Irish Rovers in 1968. Too bad mosquitoes weren't left behind on Noah's ark...lol...
