Old Shoe Dogs

This is my version of the Old Woman in the Shoe, but instead of children, I filled my Steampunk rollerskate with dogs. The 5 dogs on the right are mine, past and present. Starting with the white Aussie (Left to right), that is Freckles, Ripley, Hendrix (being held), Dagny and Laddie. This an homage to my puppies and their doggie friends. I showed my painting to my friend of 17 years and she said she teared up when she saw Dagny and Hendrix. Laddie is the dog I grew up with. Someday I hope we will all be reunited! (Then my husband will complain the house will be noisy! Herding dogs are known to be barky)!
